Regional Twitter chats in Ireland – which ones are the busiest?

In May 2012 I did something that had never been done in Ireland – I kicked off the country’s first organised Twitter chat. The name of the chat was #DubChat and every week we chatted about a different Dublin-related topic – bars, the great outdoors and more.

Three years later and Twitter chats in Ireland could hardly be going any stronger. The new breed of Twitter chats are online networking events that enable businesses around the country (mostly SMEs) to connect with each other. The first one that paved the way for multiple others was #IrishBizParty which was first held in June 2012, while now there are lots of similar, smaller Twitter chats for Ireland’s different counties.
